Lunch with an Entrepreneur
Each Mod the Owen Entrepreneurship Center invites five entrepreneurs to come share their story with fifteen to twenty students. These are informal sessions in which students ask questions and interact with the guest entrepreneur.
The types of entrepreneurs vary widely from young entrepreneurs like the two young ladies who started Channing Moreland and Makenzie Stokel who started EVAmore while undergraduates at Belmont University. Their company arranges quality entertainment for groups who want music at their event. At the other extreme, we had Alan Young, an Owen alum, who played football while getting undergrad and MBA degrees from Vanderbilt. He founded Armor Concepts, a company that created a system to keep people from kicking in your front door. It is sold nationwide.
You will never have a dull lunch when you attend one of these lunches.
