FireStarter Sessions

FireStarter Program at Owen School

FireStarter Series for Spring 2017

Purpose of FireStarter Prrogram

FireStarter is a program that turns nascent business ideas into strong, viable businesses.  Every successful business started out as an unorganized idea.  The persistence of the founder, and his or her willingness to learn about the target market transformed the idea into a viable business model.

To determine how to make their business work, most founders suffer through the agony of learning from their own mistakes.  With FireStarter, a panel of seasoned entrepreneurs who know the common pitfalls and hurdles of starting a business will help you quickly shape your idea into a high potential business model.

The FireStarter session will provide the spark to take your business from just an idea to an investable business model!.

The student selected by the attending entrepreneurs as the best for each monthly session will receive $500 from a fund established by the Class of 2000 to support the creation of new businesses.
